The quote is attributed to Osho Rajneesh
You can evaluate a problem in so many ways, until it doesn't even make sense anymore - but you always know what is right in your heart.

I depends upon the circumstance.
In my heart, I really, really would like to throw my neighbor out her window because she bitches all the time. In my mind, I know I cannot do that.
I depend upon my heart (instinct?) with my family and loved ones and in some social situations.
I watch most movies with my heart, read most books with my mind.
In business, my mind rules....
I think one must find a balance and recognize the appropriate time to use either. Someone who never lets their heart take them away - never swoons at a breathless beauty before them, never gasps at a profound piece of poetry or a photograph or a painting are missing most of life. It is imperative, I think, to "go" with a feeling sometimes - from your very core.
People who analyze everything, question everything come across cold and uncaring..even if they aren't.
The mind is a creation of society....however, it is up to us to allow ideas in, to analyze and dissect them, debate about them.... This is stimulation. Without stimulation - might as well be a robot.
I think of Commander Data in the Star Trek series..... he is ALL mind, ALL the time and is perfect at all times.... yet, he is always in pursuit of being more "human"....having a "heart", being able to love, hate, cry, even taste.
He can play any musical instrument and any musical piece - perfectly and as the composer wrote it.... But, he cannot "love" the music or enjoy the wonder of it.

A very difficult question, this is...Sometimes it is wise to listen to your heart, and sometimes it is wise to listen to your mind...ie, if you avoid asking someone out because you could get rejected, it may seem wise...but if you don't ask them out and you really like them, you will never know if they liked you too, and you could be missing out on great happiness...Which is wiser in the long run? I would rather of tried and failed than to always be wondering...

No, it is not wise to listen only to your heart. In my opinion, emotions (the heart) are like a sixth sense. You hear, taste, smell, feel and see with your five senses. Your emotions help you to interpret what you hear, taste, smell, feel and see.
The problem is, just as our five senses can be fooled, so can our emotions. You need to heed your senses, you need to heed your emotions but your mind must be the final arbitrator.
When it comes to emotions (the heart) trust but verify!
