the lump is soft in composition, and it does not hurt. it apears to be on top or part of the epididymis. what could this be? It has only been there for a short while.

The lump is probably a spermatocele which is a benign testicular cyst. Here is some info on them. They are quite common. You still need to see your Dr for an exam and probably an ultrasound to rule out other problems.

Dont worry. Just get an appointment so you can relax and while there , have the Dr tell you what feeling is abnormal so you will always know.

It could be cancer, it could be epididymitis, it could be a varicocele. See a doctor ASAP!
