Anything under 70 is good. Under a minute isn't really feasible unless you're really good. I don't thing there was a 400 runner in my league that ran under a minute when I was that age.

I would say anything sub 70 for a 12 year old is pretty good.

Well this is my first year of track...i am 12...but if you are a guy i think guys and girls time varies alot. and i am a girl so yea. i ran a like 1:15 i think. And that is pretty slow. I think as long as you can get it in 1:20 that is pretty good.

under 70 seconds im the fastest 6th grader and i get 1:08 and then closest person to me is 1:18
so under 1:20 would be good

i know a guy that ran it in 56.3 and it was AMAZING but he didn't even place in the top eight at districts..but that was a good time for my school (he was 15 btw)
