Do you give your dog anything else to eat? Like treats or slip it some people food once in a while? If you do you need to stop doing this as it creates a picky eater. Try another brand of food. As a general rule any pet food that you can buy at your supermarket is not going to be the best. If you switch brands try feeding the regular amount and if the dog refuses to eat that then pick the food up in about 10 minutes and do not offer it again until the next feeding schedule. The dog will not starve itself and learn to eat when it is available. Remember picky eaters are not born, they are created.

Okay let me start out by asking you this...have you always fed your dog this food since you have had it? Switching your dogs food too quickly might upset your dogs stomach as well, so if you do decide to switch, do it gradually. Start out with a little bit of the new food and work it into the old food and continue until the new food is more than the old food in the bowl. Also, I suggest going to the local pet store and telling them your situation. They will be able to guide you in the right direction. Certain foods are like junk food to dogs and contain lots and lots of byproducts which aren't good. I feed Nutro which is an in between food. Its not the best of all dog food, but it isn't Ol Roy either. Does your dog get sick when it eats its food or does it just refuse to eat at all? This may be something you want to bring up with your vet as well. Good luck and i hope that you find something that works for you and your pet!!

I would gradually change the dog over to a better food. Avoid grocery store brands if possible. The only Purina foods I like are ProPlan and ONE. And I prefer Nutro Ultra or Innova EVO which I feed currently.
Also make sure the dog is getting plenty of exercise. Take her for a long walk (if it's cool enough) before feeding her.
Do not leave the food down. I feed twice daily and pick it up after 20 minutes. I measure how much I'm feeding so I know immediately if my dogs go off food.
Take the dog's temp. If it's not normal go see the vet.
It sounds to me like she just doesn't really like the food and she's training you to let her be a picky eater.
I buy a second dog when my first dog is trained well. Not when I'm having issues with the first one.

First ask yourself, is this a recent behavior out of her? If so, then it is nearing Summer, depending where you live, and most dogs/cats lessen up on the intake of their food. Also, if this has been a repetitive behavior, then maybe she just only likes moist, chewy food and you should maybe try the "wet" dog food that comes in cans. You might ought to see if she is having any problems with her teeth as well. (The dry, crunchy kibbles could be hurting her teeth, if she has periodontal problems.) I would make an appt with the vet to give her a full exam to rule out any health problems. If it turns out that she is healthy as can be, then she is just a picky lil princess....good luck sweetum's....Kimmie (Ps) If you think that a companion for her would be a suitable choice, then by all means get her a pal to rumble with.....

get her gums checked out they should be a light pink colour, make sure that on the gum around the teeth is not inflamed and red.
pedigree is not really a good food its like us eating take outs all the time call your vet and see what they recomend.
other than that she might be a bit under the weather feed her cooked dry paster and tuna (tuna must be in spring water and drain it) for a few days this will let any tummy upset pass and she should return to normal.

A sudden decrease in appetite usually means one of these things:
1. someone else is feeding her,
2. she's hunting,
3. she's trying to con you into giving her something she likes better,
4. she's upset by some changes in the household or to her routine,
5. she's sick.
Dogs don't starve themselves on purpose. So if you can make sure that she's not finding food somewhere else without your knowing, and the problem persists for several days, a trip to the veterinarian is indicated.

Maybe she doesn't enjoy her food. You could try putting meat in her bowl as well. Pedigree isn't the greatest.
Does she eat treats? I don't think it's a serious problem, just her diet needs fixing. But I could be wrong......

You may need to try other foods. Why would she be depressed? Is she alone alot? There are more questions to be answered here than just food.
