I am starting a diet and instead of eating fatty snacks I eat apples and other fruits. I also eat a large, large amount of grapes. Sometimes I eat 2 pounds of grapes over a course period of two days.

I highly doubt itll make you "fat" because they do provide essential nutrients for your body but you should not exceed the recommended amount. Im am no nutritionist or some sort of health nut but 2pounds of grape does sound like too much within two days...

Anything, short of water, that you put in your mouth can make you fat if you eat too much of it. Fruits contain fructose which is, simply put, fruit SUGAR. Lots of sugar = lots of calories. Of course, fruit is alot better than eatting a candy bar or a bag of chips but, sorry to say, you've got to keep an eye on what you eat if you want to lose weight.

Try not to eat the fruit after 2pm or 3pm because your body does not process the sugar as well then. That could cause fat. You should drink half of your body weight in ounces daily (ex. if you weigh 180 pounds drink 90 ounces of water). Trust me that will work to help you lose weight.

Eating fruits instead of fatty, sugary foods is a good substitute. Fruits contain fructose, and too much of any one food is not good with the added calories. Eaten fresh, it is better than canned, or juices, with sugar added.
