Alright. I'm 17. and i am looking for a cheap car to buy. My uncle has a Subaru Outback or legacy. looks like a 1999ish , Stick Shift/Manuel for about $1800. My mom has a Nissan Pathfinder, automatic, a 1995ish for about $2000. This will be my first car so which one would be better suited for me?

Also I am only willing to spend tops $2100 for a first car. So hummers and Audi's are out of the question. and please people, just between these two cars.

definitely the Subaru. AWD, Manuel, cheaper buy, and only 8 year oldish instead of 12years oldish.

Had two Subaru's, Imprezza and then the Outback.
LOVED both of them, till the warranty ran out.
Owned a Nissan 200sx, Loved that too!
Subaru is probably you best bet. 5 Star crash rating and AWD.
If I had to pick one for my son's, I would go with the Subaru.

Go with the Subaru Outback. Better reliability and safety. Has all the regular maintenance been done?

"My aim is a mid-size sedan that is fun to drive, quiet, unique and trouble-less." If you want unique and fun to drive, set your price range at 9k and then mod the car with the other 4k. You wont get unique and fun with a blue book value purchase of 13k I would reccomend an audi or beamer if you want a reliable, peppy, used sedan.
