My geometry class has this argument every day, and we still get nowhere. So I was wondering, what is plural of rhombus? Is it rhombuses? Rhombii? Or is it one of those weird words like moose that is the same singular and plural?

Rhombuses. It is never wrong to use an English plural for words in English. If you want the Latin plural it is "rhombi" (not "rhombii", that would be the plural of "rhombius").

Unless you know the classical plural, use the English plural. There are many traps in classical plurals to catch the ignorant. As an example, consider platypus, omnibus and virus. The plurals are platypuses, omnibuses and viruses. "Platypus" can also have the Greek plural "platypodes" but omnibus and virus cannot have classical plurals because they are not nouns in Latin or Greek.
