Most of Jerry Falwell's career was in direct opposition to the teachings of Jesus. I watched his show a few times and every episode involved him advocating and committing Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the only unforgivable sin.
It is possible that he repented of his evil ways, but it is doubtful. He seemed so convinced that bigotry, intolerance and direct opposition to the biblical Commandments was the correct way to express Christianity.
The Christians churches today have been corrupted by his political aspirations. He has done Christianity a great deal of damage. The love of God was replaced by politics.
I do HOPE that he was forgiven.

I think it was the eye of the needle. It is my understanding that it was an actual gate in wall around Jerusalem. The main gates were closed at night but the needle stayed open. It was very small and the camel had to be unloaded and forced to its knees in order to pass through the needle. So if a merchant was running late and wanted in, he could get in if he/she put forth the effort to work the camel through. The enemy would have to come through one at a time if they attacked at the needle. YEs you can pass a camel through the eye of the needle if you want to bad enough and are persistent enough.

A rich man would buy a giant food liquidiser in order to get the camel through the eye of a needle.

If I were a believer in heaven and hell (and I'm not), I would think that the almighty would not have looked favorably upon the hateful speech and attitude of Mr. Falwell. I don't think *true* Christians believe that way either. I think Falwell has some 'splainin' to do before he gets admitted to the Pearly Gates.
Nevetheless, I don't think he's anywhere except a coffin.

If there was a heaven, which there isn't, and if Jerry had a soul, which he didn't, and if there was a god to judge him, which there isn't, and if the words of Jesus were the words of god incarnate, which they aren't, then you are correct and Jerry wouldn't get in. The bible is quite clear on that.
Basically Jesus and his followers were hippies. Living from day to day on handouts and preaching a gospel of love. Unfortunately, when christianity became the official religion of Rome, church leaders saw the gravy train and they've been riding it ever since.

Another blind man. All of Jerry Falwell's opinions and stances were based on the Holy Bible. He went to heaven like a bullet. He was never unfaithful to God. He was not perfect, but man, he was light years ahead of YOU.
Actually Jesus said that "...no man comes to the Father except through me." You got Jesus, You got heaven. SAddle Up, homie.

Jerry Falwell had a lot stacked against him, but he did believe in Jesus, people who believe in faith alone would have to say he is in heaven. As for me, I will admit I have no idea, out of my control and knowledge.

I didn't know the man personally. And it's really not my place to judge him. Did I like his politics? No. However, If there is a heaven for his families sake I hope he's there. I wish his family all the best during this tuff time.

It is not referring to an actual needle...but actually a type of fortress that was built around cities in Biblical days...it was very low and was a mechanism for protecting against armies etc...sorta lilke a fence but very low as to not be able to easily ride a camel through.
And yeah...from Falwell's actions, I question his heart...but, it is not for us to judge...
