I know newborn pigeons & doves need enzymes their food in order to digest. So...is it ok to use papaya enzymes for them?

seriously...

I'm no expert but I think that would be ok. you can also purchase baby bird milk at the pet store this would also be good for them

Um...No. The enzymes they need come from their parents int he form of crop milk. When the mom feeds the babies, they pass these enzymes when they regurgitate the food.

Without the enzymes from the parent, the babies are much more susceptible to disease, and often die.

Are you trying to handfeed these babies?

Why not buy baby bird formula at the store? Then you know you've got the nutrients and enzymes you need.

i'm not exactly sure what kind of enzymes they need but if you go to a local pet store and ask them i'm sure they'll be able to help you and they can give you stuff that you mix with their food so they can digest it

I would strongly suggest that you ask a vet about such things. I know of no other source that is better equipped to answer your question than a vet.

These types of birds like grit. but, they usually eat some fruit.
