Hey - I am impressed! You're brilliant.

- I prefer to call that fictional book of morals God's love letter to us, my guidebook for life, and my Rx for inner peace, joy and wisdom. God chooses to speak to us through that Holy Book - and I can't explain it. You just have to believe and experience it for yourself. Don't knock it until you have tried it in your life.

You do forget the accounts taken as historical found in the books of Kings, and in the Acts of the Apostles. This shows that the Bible has some things dubbed as non-fiction in it, meaning you might as well believe all events until the invention of the printing press were made up and heavily distorted, because logic says they were.

I agree with you...the Bible even says in II Timothy 3:16 that all scripture is given by inspiration of God... it does not say it was written by God

Men wrote the Bible, men who brought their own ideas, prejudices, knowledge and customs of the day into their writings....we do ourselves a disservice when we try to be fundamentalists and try to literally interpret everything that is written in a book....that has words that in some cases were not written down until verbally passed down, generation to generation.

It sounds like you want justification more than victory. I agree with you for what it's worth, but perhaps you should go introspective for a while and determine what you really want out of YA.

That's because your humanist logic can't compare to our
Faith! You are so smug and think we are mindless and I'll stop there because I'd be throwing pearls before swine. So,
oink! onik ! to U!

i read that question.... imagine, a book written 1800 years ago, and still a best seller! it is really amazing isnt it?

and you are right, you don't have to read a book to find Jesus and accept Him as your Savior. But reading the history of who he was and how it all came about is pretty revealing and amazing too.

have you checked recently? I just followed your link and saw some 'comebacks'. They were irrational, silly, credulous comebacks but then why would that be surprising?
