Atleast I led a moral life, I lost nothing...
supposing it turns out to be true..
and you find yourself before God demanding accountability..

Aha! *Dances wildly* Drink!
If there is nothing and I believed for nothing then I have lost nothing and gained nothing. If there is nothing and I believe there is nothing I was right. If I believed in something and there was nothing, I would be crazy. If I believed in something and there was something than I would be and something would be. If I believed in something and there was nothing I'd feel pretty silly.
I'd rather be right then crazy and mistaken rather than ridiculous. If there is something I certainly hope it isn't narcissistic enough to torment me for not believing in it.

You should check out Taoism/Particle physics. Nothing is foundation of everything! So if you believed for nothing, then you'd be there already (not quite as stupid as the church of the sub-genius, but close). Good luck getting existential with it.

"God is, or He is not." But to which side shall we incline? Reason can decide nothing here. There is an infinite chaos which separated us. A game is being played at the extremity of this infinite distance where heads or tails will turn up... Which will you choose then? Let us see. Since you must choose, let us see which interests you least. You have two things to lose, the true and the good; and two things to stake, your reason and your will, your knowledge and your happiness; and your nature has two things to shun, error and misery. Your reason is no more shocked in choosing one rather than the other, since you must of necessity choose... But your happiness? Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is... If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation that He is.

If there is nothing, why would you be posing this question? Would it really matter, since there is nothing. It's all nothing you know. Nothing is the absence of something. Even the nothing is something.

You can never believe for nothing. Even if nothing were to come out of my faith when I die, the life I have lived is better because of my faith.

You should go to philosophy. In order for everything here to have been created, *something* or *someone* had to start it.
A ball doesn't roll across the floor without some force being exerted on it.
It's better to believe in something and have hope, than to not believe and have no hope.
I wish you well.

There IS nothing. All of the somethings came from it, and to the nothing every something will return. And when they are ready, they can return to the world of somethings.

What if there is something...and you believed nothing?
How can there be nothing? Look around...the world is a lot of somethings...had to be created somehow.

Then I'm not out of anything. However what if you find there really was a God......I'm sure wouldn't want to be on that end.
