Im a 25 year old guy who commutes to work 30 miles in and out of Boston each day for work. If you had the choice of the following two cars to drive and buy which one would you get and why? A 2004 Black Ford Taurus SES sport with the 200hp V6 or a A 2006 Red Focus ST with a five speed manual and loaded up both have the same equipment and similar price. Which would you buy and why? Which one would be nicer to "hook up" a little bit? Thanks for the feedback!

Both vehicles have about 18,000 miles only. The Taurus is almost out of warranty and the Focus has one till 100,000 on its engine and transmission

If you like to drive, the Focus is the funnest car for the money by far. Commuting w/ a stick might suck depending on traffic, but I bet the back roads around there are awesome. The Taurus is like a Camry but worse, terrible handling and worse brakes. OTOH it is comfortable and has an automatic for the commute. If it was me, I'd go for the Focus. www.batinc.net has has a slotted rotor and brake pad special that is fantastic and only $174 for a front set.

Me? I'd go for the Taurus as I think the Focus is just too small for me. Plus a manual transmission would get old real fast in commuting every day.
