Buddy is always nice. Lady is a sweet name. It's always nice to see the dog and get some clue as to it's personlaity. It's also nice to give the dog a name they are prone to come to. Try different sounds and see which ones prick up his or her ears. Sometimes it's nice to honor a freind or relative by picking a name that reminds you of them.
Shadow (especially if the dog follows you around - Golden Retrievers get this name a lot)
You can also name the dog after a personal hero. My first dog's name was Mickey. My father named it after Mickey Mantle, but I thought he was named after Micky Mouse. He was a collie and had very independant ears.
Spotless - I figured spot was out but that would be an interesting ironic name.
You could name the dog after one of the 101 Dalmations, especially oif you have a favorite. Well anyway, hope this helps.

You can't just, have a name all the sudden.
Get to know her, watch her, play with her. Once you know her personality, the name will come to you.
