Much depends on what is on your reports, if you are just beginning to build credit or if you have baddies and how old they are and what store card you are wanting to apply for.

I've seen many people be approved with scores in the high 500's (on up) that have had older baddies, or no baddies, on their reports.

While many store cards are fairly easy to get, what one person may qualify for, another with a similar credit report may not qualify. Plus some stores are harder to get than others.

You might click on my profile and go to the last link listed.
Do some reading in the credit forum and in the creditpulls section.
It's a free forum and, for the members protection, credit soliciting is against the TOS and strongly enforced.
Always go to the creditors site to apply, never apply from a clearing house type of site.
