What do you mean by success? People find happiness in all areas of their life, and sometimes it depends on how they perceive success. Success could be a high paying job, or it could be a low-paying but meaningful job, or it could be a meaningful relationship or family, or it could be a lifestyle which allows for time spent walking on the beach. I think success is part of happiness, but determined only by how you define success.

As I recall, hearing interviews from two famous country singers, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn, they were born and raised in homes where there was more love than money. So, obviously, as long as you can take care of your needs, and maybe a few little wants, that would be success right there. The idea of having to keep up with the Jonese's thought, not worth it these days. Why own a three car garage house, if you can barely pay the mortgage?
Being able to take care of yourself, and your family, (if you have one) is what matters. Your heart, how you are towards others, etc., as opposed to the big Donald Trump "success" of this world, is what is more important. Hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

Success means different things to different people. I don't think a happy person is necessarily a successful person, although he/she might be.
