Dodge website shows that you should be able to pull 2000lbs with the 3.5l v6 magnum, when it is properly equipped.

Yes you should be able to tow up to 2000 lbs, but if you would like to be sure on your own, look in your owners manual under "towing". There should be a break down of the different types of engines and what they are rated to pull, with the correct equipment, of course. If none of this is to your satisfaction call your local U-Haul dealer and they will be able to tell you what equipment you will need. IE: hitch, electrical, ball Etc. and they do installations so it is a no brainer.

I have a 2005 Magnum SXT with that same engine and you should have no problem puling that kind wheight...just keep in mind not to use your top gear, stay in 3rd if you have the 4 speed auto like me or stay in 4th if you have the Tiptronic you will loose fuel efficiency but you will save yourself tranny problems down the road.
