the yellow color is on the underside of my nails (my nails are a little bit long)....not on the top...so nail polish wouldn't really work

Swipe the nail tips w/ a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Let it soak for a few minutes & rinse off w/ soap & nail brush.

Soak your fingertips in a dissolved denture cleaning tablet for 5 minutes.

Well you could always just cut your nails, and from now on when you put the lotion on, you put finger nail polish wherever your nails get stained and after your done applying it, you can remove the nail polish. I hope that's the kind of answer your looking for.

try using a nail buffer. and maybe in future apply a coat of nail polish (even clear polish) before using a self tanning lotion to prevent the lotion from getting onto the nails.

Take a daily vitamin.... Don't keep dark nail polish on them for more than two days.... Try to keep a clear coat of nail polish on the base of your nails at all times.... And one other thing that seems to work for me, even though its kind of random: The lotion from Bath & Body Works called Tutte Dolce (it may be discontinued) but this always whitens my nails like no other! Good Luck :)
