Yes, global warming is real. The vast majority of scientists believe that, as do most politicians. The question is does human activity influence global warming. There is a lot of debate on that subject, but most intelligent people believe that we should take prudent steps to reduce our production of greenhouse gasses without hurting our economy. There are many steps that we can take without spending much money; see below. Of course, some Conservative losers deny that there is anything called global warming and they insult anyone who disagrees with them. Sound familiar?
By the way Al Gore received more votes than W. Bush in the 2000 election, but he lost because we do not have direct election of our president. We still have the antiquated Electoral College system. Surely America lost when W. Bush became president.

I was talking about Global Warming before Al Gore. I could see it in my own land. People factor in the sun.... the sun is doing nothing different now that hasn't already done in the last billion years. It is emitting solar flares and intense radiation. The difference is that the planet is trapping more heat than ever. And yes it is us.... when have forests EVER been cut down and burnt in the scale that they are now.. all for the almighty convenience of having a scenic view? It ticks me off. We just had a resort built into the local forest and I watch the flippant waste first hand....the Hummers and the arrogance.
More CO2 and far less plant life. The writing is in the ice, stone, dirt and in the air. Step out of your vehicle, house, town, city long enough and you will see what is becoming of our landscape. Whether it is man made or not, its flippen irresponsible and selfish to blow off our responsibility to live more conservatively.

This is at least the third time this article has been posted here. Again: your $5 calculator has more computing power than the best computers in 1971, the knowledge of climate has increased exponentially since 1971. The scientist was correct at least in that aerosols have had a cooling effect on climate, this is well documented - ever heard of a "scrubber" or maybe a "catalytic converter"? Further more, it does not appear that there is any evidence that Hansen was pushing the "ice age" theory from this article. HE WROTE A PROGRAM meaning rasool told him what the program should include and hansen wrote it for him. This article proves nothing about Hansens views and even if it did, the year was 1971 People who let the media tell them what to think are sheep

Global warming is real, but I think it was on the O'reilly Factor that everything that Al Gore stated in the movie was false and that he needs to do a better job researching.

Global warming is very real !
The North pole shows significant signs of higher temperatures. The ice burgs are melting at a much faster rate.
There are several reports on global warming. It is not difficult to find research studies being performed just entering Global Warming on any Internet search engine.

Global warming is real, but also peoples ignorance scare me a lot. They are prone to believe anything media says but neglect to read facts on their own and get information to what global warming even is and how it effects the planet. Im very frustrated when people complain that "we suppose to have global warming and th weather is so cold"! Thats because! Global warming doesnt make the climate warmer!!!
Anyways...sorry for venting. I just hope more people were aware, thats all.

Yuk Yuk Yuk, good one.
I think that there is something to global warming on the large scale. On the small scale I think that it is not as bad as the scientists computers are making it out to be.
I happen to believe the bible and it does say that the sun will get 7 times hotter before Christ comes back and that men will hide in caves wishing to find death and it eludes them. Is this from mans design? Could be. Is it in the next 20 years? Could be. Is it in the next 50 years? Most likely. Scientists are always trying to disprove the bible as old myths and such, but when they both agree, the scientists should take another look.
There are many more disasters during the end times.
Remember, this is my opinion and we all have one.

If Galileo was a liberal would Earth still be flat?
You are confusing science with politics. It's funny that you ask this question on the same day that the scientists discovered a meltdown in Antartica the size of California that just happened two years ago!
