I think it boils down to this:
There will be false prophets.
There will be wars and rumors of wars.
There will be famine and pestilence and earthquakes.
There will be those martyred for their faith.
Sounds like the four horsemen of Apocalypse from the book of Revelation
As to the postings of AJ:
Jesus was emphatic that some of those there would not die before He received His kingdom. What kingdom was that. Jesus in His prayer to His Father in heaven said, Father, restore me to the glory that I had with you before the foundations of the world. That happened while some of the disciples were still alive. Jesus was restored to His kingdom in heaven.
In the verses about the fig tree, Jesus was saying 'from the time you see the fig tree in bloom, not a generation shall pass before I return'. When did the fig tree start to bloom, in 1948 when Israel was given nation status again by the United Nation. That means that from the time Israel became a nation, someone who was alive then will be alive when He returns to take His church out of this world.

These are the most startling words -
But I prefer them as a Warning :
1- If We don't change ourselves than it will happen (note : need not from Bible to draw this conclusion)
2- Other possibility is open (God allow Free Will - otherwise salvation is meaningless)
3- If we take it as NO OTHER CHOICE - Then WE will make it happen !!!
Think - Think - Think

That kind of stuff has been happening since Jesus died. I am thinking that it is ALWAYS "near" the end of the world. I think every generation thinks "their time" is the special end time.

there will be many false prophets, some we see even today....
but typing things in all caps just makes people not read what you write... and fire and brimstone is not a good way to warm up someone's heart towards Jesus Christ...

Jesus can't signal his return - the bible is fiction, and JESUS IS NEVER COMING BACK
Q: If you believe the bible is true, why didn't Jesus return during the lifetime of his listeners like the bible said he would?
"Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom." -- Matthew16:28
"But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God." -- Luke 9:27
"Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation." -- Matthew 23:36
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." -- Matthew 24:34
"Nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Matthew 26:64
"Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power." -- Mark 9:1
"Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." -- Mark 13:30
"And ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." -- Mark 14:62
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled." -- Luke 21:32
"Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" -- John 21:22
A: It didn't happen... the bible lies!

with religion bad people will still do bad things and good people will be made to do bad things..
religion breeds hate .....
