I haven't recently, but my good "Caucasian" friend jokingly called me a beaner yesterday. Later that day, he was very hesitant and afraid to call our good "African-"American friend ******. Funny, isn't it?

The goofy thing is, none of us has the slightest idea why we turned out to be who we are. (We don't even know why we got to be people, rather than, say, termites!)

When you criticize someone else's race, heritage, or anything else about them that's unlike you, it's like you're trying to take credit for being who you are---which is ridiculous! And that, more than any other reason, is why it's ignorant behavior.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but it amazes me how blind people can be to this basic fact. We don't think about what we are, and the deep wonder and mystery that surrounds every moment of everything we do. We just take it all for granted, like children.

If there _is_ something about ourselves that we think is better than someone else, doesn't it make a lot more sense just to be grateful for it, rather than to pointlessly criticize the other person? You tell me.

no cause I'll lose my job if I said something like that, but on the other hand I have black people call me white boy cracker and honky all the time at work and they get aways with iy. not that I care and I don't care to call them a racial name anyways seeing how I get along with most people. people are people I don't look at the skin.

No. why would I? I dont like being called names I find offensive. BUT i did overhear something amusing. at a conveinent store my my house this guy was being totally rude and impatient about waiting in line while the regular clerk trained a new employee. Well he started yelling, and she got irritated and rightfully told him off...in the process though, she called him the Nword...but he was white. (she was black) I'm sure she just got caught up in the moment ...but it was funny as all hell.

I don't do that. A person's skin color has nothing to do w/his or her character.
