Do they eat that stuff a lot,or is that a myth? Or is it something that got started because of apparent similarities, lack of substance,no intrinsic value, etc.? Or is it a false doctine to equate junk food and atheism? If so,can you proof there is no link with SCIENTIC PROOF or SOME VERSE IN THE BIBLE THAT SEEMINGLY DENIES IT? I'll take either one.

I think there is clearly a more valid link between junk food and Christianity.
1. There are many Christian denominations, that have different flavors and value choices - just like FF restaurants.
2. Christian teachings look great on the flyers but when you get to know them they are actually not as advertised - Same as Fast Food, the real thing never appears as it does on the marquee.
3. Swollowing the various inconsistencies leads to headache and heartache - Same as FF.
4. The people who hand out at Christian Churches tend to be the very young or the very old - Same as FF
5. The employees of Christian denominations.. well lets just say Jerry Falwell and leave it at that - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fry a whopper either.

As an 'atheist', I am more concerned about my diet now than when I was Christian. I try buying 'organic' foods b/c of health benefits and my concern for the environment. I have no scientific proof. A person's diet seems to be based more on whether the person is trying to lose weight or follow a nutrition-based diet for health reasons rather than religious preference.

i dont beleive there is one.
im an atheist and i eat pretty healthy. i avoid junk food...bit i do love the occasional candy bar.
ive never heard this before so im going to assume it:
1. got started recently
2. circled the religious circuits where a ton of absurd misinformation exists .
yes its false doctrine to equate junk food with atheism...and a really bad doctrone. it doesent even makesense but IF it is coming out of the christian world then im really not surprised that it makes no sense.
i dont think i can provide scientific proof to show you how X doesent equal Y, sorry.

They're both junk and are bad for your physical and spiritual well being. Eating junk food has no bearing on whether you believe in God or not, so, get the junk out of your mind to keep your mind clear. Your mind is your private property and don't allow it to get cluttered with unproven facts and myth.

There is no scientific proof that denies it but if you were to draw a sample and base your analysis on the null hypothesis you would fail to reject the null hypothesis and have to accept that there is not substantial correlation, you can find the data you need and census.gov and then run the appropriate mathematical equations.

I think that kind of study would be a waste of money. But if you are really curious, I can tell you how to go about it.
But I bet you would find the opposite true. Just based on the fact that there are more atheists in Europe than the US.

I've been both a Christian and an Agnostic in life, and I've always had a soft spot in my heart for junk food. I just eat it in moderation to keep my weight in check.

Again people who don't understand how this works. YOU must provide proof of your statement, people need not disprove your statements, YOU need to show validity for them first and THEN will they undergo scrutiny to show errors or misconceptions.

There is no apparent relationship between the two, however there is one significant difference. With food you can say......OH GOD THIS IS GOOD!
