Many people have always said that evil must be destroyed for good to be dominate, from religion to simple minded people who cannot understand that there is no destroying evil. The reason why this is a fact is because as long as there is good there will be evil and as long as there is evil there will be good. The area of destroying evil completely is useless and will always have no real purpose other than tiring the good out. However standing in the gap of evil and defending good from the evil is what is truly known as balance. Balance has since the beginning has been a the backbone of the universe, a being or creature that has to survive by relying on another object, creature or being is a balance. If that is corrupted, almost everything will be destroyed. so my questions is this, why do people think evil must be destroyed, when in fact good can become so twisted and perverted as evil, if not even more?

The two are really one continuum. Like the poles on a magnet...there is a north pole and a south pole. Cut off the south pole...and the magnet still has a south pole (and the piece still has a north pole).
You can't have one without the other. However, as we become more civilized (and we are not yet out of nursery school) - what is considered evil keeps rising on the continuum.
Slavery once was not all that evil. Killing lesser people on the social scale (peasants) was not considered very evil. In modern times it is seem as much more an evil. So our concept of evil continues to change - but you can not get rid of evil.

Well, good and evil are very black and white concepts. In reality, the world has a lot of gray areas. Every person is really a mixture of good and bad qualities. The very idea of destroying evil means you must also destroy all of humanity, since humanity is part evil. I don't think good and evil are tangible concepts so there really doesn't have to be a balance between the two.

Good and evil must exsist together to balance eachother out. If they didn't, the whole cosmic balance is ****** and then we'd all pretty much get sucked into a metaphroical black hole. We as humans can not live with just good or evil in our lives. It's impossible and would destroy us if it did.

evil only exists in "the idea" that evil exists. it can be seen that all societies throughout history have different "ideas" on what constitutes evil. extrapolating, "the idea" of good is only an "idea" based on programing too. the idea of good and evil are programs developed by the mind in an attempt to control human society at large. similarly, the idea of birth, life and then death are just mind programming. good needs no defending or balancing anymore then evil does. they exist only in the mind of humanity.

Good and evil cannot exist together, they are separate.maybe you mean; why do we have good and evil in existence?First of all, good is in our nature,it is only when we decide to go against our nature, that we become something other than good.Have you ever seen an evil baby from birth?I haven't,and I do not know anyone who have, even Satan was not created to be evil, his ugliness came about after his disobedience, and arrogance. We all have the capacity to be good or evil,I pray that we strive for the betterment of ourselves and the society.Peace!!
