Exercising for 30 mnts everyday-atleast 4 days a week, is very good for yr health. To lose wieight the ideal thing to do is cardio exercises like power walking, jogging , cycling or the elliptical- basically any work out that raises yr heart rate. BUT, eating once a day is absolutely not the right thing to do because if the body doesn't get enough fuel, then its metabolism slows down a lot and can make weight loss a very hard thing to acomplish, u may even gain weight. Exercise increases metabolism so do it regularly along with a low cal diet and u will see the changes- definitely. Having small meals thru out the day instead of fewer and huge portions is always the best thing to do. All the best !

It depends on how much you eat. If you eat very little, then yes. If you eat very much, then, no you will not lose weight. Make sure that meal includes protein & vegetables & milk. It would be better to have 4 or 5 small meals. What kind of exercises did you have in mind? How fast did you want to lose this 40 lbs. ? I recommend 30 minutes of walking or running AND 30 minutes of isometric exercises 6 days a week. Good luck.

Well it depends on what you eat portion size and calories you intake. Caloric intake is a big part of losing weight. However if you eat to little your body will begin to notice the change in the calorie defecit intake and will actually slow down your metabolism, and you will end up not losing any weight, while you may lose some it most likely won't be fat but will be only water and perhaps some muscle, the best thing to do is find out your optimal caloric intake based on your height, age, frame size. As for excersize the best thing to do is cardio for overall body fat loss. I have lost over 40 lbs watching my caloric intake and doing 45 mins of cardio 3 times a week as well as some small strength training to ensure less muscle loss! i hope this helps!!! and good luck with the weight loss!

Exercising 3-4 hours a day, unless you are an athlete, is excessive. And 1200 calories is much, much too little for someone that active. If you need to lose 30lb, it should be done gradually. With that level of exercise you may be burning 2500-3000 calories a day, so could lose 1-2lb per week on 2000 calories a day.

no you will end up gaining weight
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

NOPE - you will set your body into starvation mode and it will keep its reserves

calculate the number of calories to maintain your weight - then reduce by 15% - so if 1500 calories - reduce to 1300

best to eat 5-6 small meals a day - keep the campfire burning
just dont throw one log on a day - will not be enough heat in the embers to light it - and it will turn to fat

spread your calories out over those 5-6 meals

another trick is to have fruit by itself, and not as a 'dessert'
don't let it sit waiting for something else to digest!

and that's all yours for $19.95 - - - - - -- - - -JK!!!!

best of luck!

yes you will lose weight, but that is a very unhealthy way of doing it!! do not starve yourself, eat 5 small meals a day, no junk food, sweets, or fast food. work out often, to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you eat in a day!! No soda! no eating past a certain time .. 7 or 8! Give yourself realistic goals, work hard, but be smart!

Yes, you will lose weight. In a very unhealthy manner. The weight did not go on quick, and you should not expect it to come off quickly.

It is good to have a goal...most of us could stand to lose weight...but don't harm your body to meet your goal. Find a healthy eating plan. Weight Watchers has one of the better one.

Good luck.
