Women dont think it will work. But actually, they think guys have guts to look like a fool using those lines on them because its funny, so it at least would open up a conversation or break the ice. Its the stupid way of getting a woman's attention or asking women out, but it gets the message across to the woman that you are interested in them.
If any guy actually used those pick up lines on me, id be bursting out with laughter. Well depends on which ones though because there are some perverted ones that would only earn guys a slap on the face, like "nice shoes, wanna have sex?"
