Hey sweetie, just go up to him and say "hi", it is an amazing ice breaker and take it from there, you can talk about school, what you like, what he likes and what you do not like and what he does not like, sports like what kind of sports you both like or dislike, what you are going to do for the summer, any plans you both might have, or get some friends together and invite him to come along, that way it will not feel to awkward for him like he is going on a date, it is just hanging out with a bunch of friends.

Find out his interests and start a convo about them. This could lead to a potential date. Ask him if he's seen the new Spiderman movie and if he liked the first two. If he says no but he wants to go see it, tell him that you want to see it too and ask if he wants to see it with you. Be innocent about it and make it seem like you guys are going as just friends. Get his number and give him yours and call him...not the same night you get his number but the next day.

I'm a guy and the only reason I am telling you this is because I have a gorgeous 11 month old daughter and 13 years from now I am dreading her going through what you are right now.
Guys are the devil and at your young and tender age they will play with your head, treat you like dirt and break your heart. Concentrate on school and bettering your future, play sports do things that are going to make you successful not things that are going to make you miserable like a young punk guy will.

Try to find some hobbies or stuff that he likes and make conversation with that. If he likes you, he'll let you know somehow... Maybe by looking at you a certain way or something. If he's into you, I think it's okay to ask him out, But wait a few days to see what kind of reaction he has toward you...
good Luck!

Ask your mom to ask his mom if he can come over for dinner so you can practice your company manners. If he agrees, you'll have him to yourself (more or less) for an hour or two. Unless he and your dad start talking about sports or cars, you will be the most intersting person in the room for him to talk to.
Guy are like stray cats and dogs; you have to approach them slowly and calmly, make no sudden moves, keep your voice low and offer them food.

if he really likes you he will come and talk to you without a lot of pushing so just take a chance every now and then to strike up a simple conversation whenever you get the chance. remeber to know what you are gonna say BEFORE you say it so you won't look stupid in front of him =)

Don't ask strangers if you are looking for good advice. Is he popular? He might embarrass you. Does he have a girlfriend? Don't hurt yourself. It's ok to like someone older (and if it's legal) get to know him but try to act his age (again don't embarrass yourself) just don't act 13 because he might give you the old "you are like a sister to me" B.S.

Try hanging around his friends then his friends will lead you to him then try to stir up a conversation and just have fun with it. Don't act shy just be yourself and see where things lead to.
Good Luck Girl!

Just talk to him. You don't have to ask him out. Form a friendship with him and see where that goes. Maybe you were just meant to be friends.
