I have nothing against them. I am close friends with Muslims and can say with certainty that, at least here in the United States, most non-Muslims have a very poor understanding of Islam. I have come across many people who have been racist towards Muslims but like I said most non-Muslims have a poor understanding of Islam. Those who make hateful comments about and against Muslims would have some degree of justification if their misconceptions had any true merit. I won't give my real name but I will tell you that I am a college student living outside Chicago.
Salaam:)

I'm Catholic, and I live where there is a significant Muslim population. Based on what's going on around the world, I believe there are just some Muslims that give the others a bad name. I've even heard that some of the extremists' actions are even contrary to the spirit of Islam, which, like all major faiths, I believe preaches a message of love for God and neighbour. I even admire the strictness on some matters of your faith compared to mine, such as forbidden foods and alcohol. I wish we had dietary laws (only on Fridays and during Lent, which is like our Ramadan), since pork really sounds nasty anyway (though beef is also kinda fatty). I've noticed that you also honour Jesus and Mary as significant holy people (but not divine). Most Muslims are tolerant of other faiths and are like regular people anyway, unlike those narrow-minded stereotypes about you guys. I think that Muslims and Christians, especially in places like my country, should really get along more and understand each other more. It's just sad that the spotlight of the world's "issue" on terrorism is hitting even innocent members of your faith. Those terrorists are just people who are very aggressive and damage the good name of their fellow Muslims.

Interesting question.
I would have to write an assignment to fully reply to your question.
But the standpoint, is that in my opinion, although Christianity, Judaism and Islam wish to promote good and try to guide mankind, the truth is that these doctines ARE NOT IMMUNE TO CRITICISM
In times, I used to see these religions as being independent of each other.
But nowadays, not any more.
These three religions come from the same region, and for that reason, it's no wonder that they have so much in common.
I'm also aware that the Middle East has ever had extreme customs and traditions throughout history, and I'm sure this reflected on the content of these doctrines.
I believe in God, and I was brought up a Christian, but I must say I'm going through a religious crisis, because I think that one thing is humans not being perfect, and another one is to impinge on them any doctrines which are not perfect themselves..
Examples of Christianity's, Judaism's and Islam's imperfections or flaws?
Well, they are too many to state here.

Muslims are people, Gods creation. I feel that all people no matter what religion they are under should be treated with loving kindness, and I really would not be able to answer if I like or hate Muslims because I decide whether I like someone by getting to know their character. Each people is different and have different characteristics about them.

I like anyone who is NOT rude or mean or racist or anything else thats bad. So of course I like most Muslims. I am a Muslim myself and I know so many people who diescriminate against Muslims. I mean whenever you walk somewhere in Public such as resteraunts or grocery stores, people just stare, especially if you wear a scarf.I've read so many things about like how some people think that we wear hijab because our husbands or fathers force us too. To tell you the truth, my parents begged me not to wear a scarf so early but I wanted to so they had no choice but let me. And I dont get why alot of people find us scarry...like one time , my mom was at Randall's and then a Girl Scout bumped into her by mistake and started screaming and yelling and ssaying "PLEASE!PLEASE!SOMEONE HELP ME!" and my mom was so embarrsesed she didnt know what to do. People kept staring her down. So you can tell that she obviously learned something bad about Muslims from somewhere. I believe that you shouldnt teach your children to be discrimnating... So...bcourse alot of people discriminate against Muslims. Hope I helped you!

You can email me for my name - I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
I think Islam is a valid religion with its share of crazies, just like any other group of people. I don't hate them, nor do I see the religion as the root of all the violence the general Muslim community is accused of. I have heard several people say that we need to get rid of Islam or the world will suffer more and that Muslim governments won't work, even though those based on Christianity have. Every kind of group has its ups and downs. Everyone has a right to believe his or her understanding of the truth. I think it's entirely possible that different human beings come to different understandings of the same God, based on culture and upbringing. I've known one Muslim personally, and she was pretty cool.
I think it's worth pointing out that much of the Bible is fairly exclusive in its wording:
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Exodus 22:19 Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed.
I doubt Jesus meant "kill all the unbelievers," but it's along the same lines as Islam, which is part of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). People will take things the way they take things.
I don't think that any religion is superior to any other, except in terms of personal preference. It just bothers me when some people say Islam is a violent religion but theirs isn't... see Matthew 7:3 - Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?

Honestly? I don't give any thought to Muslims, Christians, Jews or anyone of any particular faith or practice. When I meet a person I am meeting them, not their religion. I am first introduced to their manners, smile, handshake, etc. Generally, I like all people I meet until they do something to me or my family/friends that offends/hurts... and even then, I will 99% of the time - talk to them about it. Hate is a strong feeling to project. It takes up too much energy and frankly, I've got a lot going on in my own life to spend time upset over someone else's silliness! :-)

Well you asked, so I will tell you what I know to be the truth....
I am a Christian and am taught to love my enemies....I worship a God who loves me, and everyone. He is the one true God...and is not Allah.
Allah is a god of hate....have you ever wondered why Muslims are taught to hate? And why?
"God( the one true God) so loved the world (everyone) that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus) that whosoever believeth on Him (Jesus) should not perish, but have eternal Life."
We love God, because He first loved us. Ask yourself why does Allah teach hate?
I hate nobody....but I know Muslims are fooled and spiritually lost...and use a false religion to preach hating others.
I live in Idaho. My name isn't important..
