at 15 you shouldn't have to work at all, your focus should be your schooling. If you are uncomfortable around your co-workers, then they are likely uncomfortable around you as well. I think it would be a favor to all if you gave notice. But do it honorably, be willing to work for an additional two weeks so they have time to find a replacement for you.

Given the circumstances you describe, I think you should quit. You are very unhappy, feel estranged from the people you work with, the work conditions are apparently unsanitary (some of those basement molds can be deadly...or at least make you very sick), and most importantly, you are falling behind in your school work.
Have you discussed this with your parents, or school guidance counselor? If you really need a job then perhaps you can find a better placement through your school.
P.S. you don't need to be psychic to know these kinds of factors all add up to a depressing situation. Take heart and know there are plenty of work opportunities if you need them, BUT without the schooling, your future opportunities are limited. Best wishes for a successful outcome!

I hated my job when I was 15. I cleaned stables, 40 hours a week. Since the bus ride to and from school was an hour, I could do most of my homework there.
You should only quit if you can switch to a higher paying job. Doing stuff you don't like builds character. Quit now, and you'll just be a quitter all the rest of your life. But do always keep an eye out for a better job.

Well, let's see. YES! no one should work under those conditions, but it's best if you quit by telling your boss that you would like to move on to a job that allows you to do something you really enjoy, for example if you like sports, go to a sports shop or boys and girls club, I should say that 15 is really young, but either way you should always leave a job only on good terms, and let him know that you just need a change, and that you told yourself that you would stay at this job only a few months but tha you feel that you have learned from the job and that you need him to please give you a good recomendation. If you stay one step ahead you will always be ahead, so try to line up a job ahead of time too if you can.

If you aren't happy there, you should quit. But you need to keep a few things in mind. First, do you need to earn money? If you DO, then it would be wise to find another job before you quit this one. If you don't have to earn money, then concentrate on your school work and save a job for a later time, or summers only. You also need to be mindful of not getting the reputation of being a "job hopper". But, if you are in high school, that should be your first priority.
If you DO decide to quit, be sure to give your employer a decent notice, 1 - 2 weeks, so they can find a replacement. It's the honest thing to do, and you don't want to start burning your bridges.

Give notice. You are unhappy and that makes a bad employee. Plus, your schoolwork is more important. If you fail school you will end up working jobs like this for the rest of your life until you get an education.
If you really have to work, there are tons of places you can get a job that will work around your school schedule and require less hours.
If you don't have to work, then stop and enjoy your teen years and high school. There's no point in jumping into the adult world of employment before you have to.

Yes, you should quit the job. First off, school work should come first so if you are falling behind you need to concentrate on that. Also, the business owner deserves to have an employee that wants to be there so they don't have to put up with excessive "sick" days and poor attitudes, so you will be doing him a favor if you quit.

If you're that unhappy with the job, and if you're behind with your school work, and if you can afford to quit the job, yeah, quit. You're 15. School should be your job. Obviously if you have other reasons for needing to work, perhaps you should make the time to find a new job before you quit this one. Or perhaps your unhappiness with this one might outweigh your need for working, and you can afford to be without a job for a little while.
But gosh, you're too young to feel that horribly sick about having to go to work!!!

I think if you're that unhappy with your job then quit. If you need the money however you might want to talk to your boss about cutting back a few of your hours so you can get your school work done. He/she will probably understand and be happy to help you.

Holy crap--yes!
That sounds awful. School is so important now. If you need a job for the money, then check out bookstores or small clothing shops that will allow you to bring in your homework while you're there and it's slow.
Good luck!
I've had jobs like that and regret the miserable hours I spent at them.

Well first off your first pay takes about 3-4 weeks to come in. Call the labor board about your money. You can straight up call and say I quit I hate this job and I hate working for you. Its even better doing it in person. because they can't do anything about it. and everyone in the place will think you have real big balls standing up to your boss. Its your life and not even Bob Evans can keep you chained down!
