But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Thank God, for sending the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to teach you all things and remind you of everything He has said to you. Love the Holy Spirit; thank Jesus for leaving Him here on earth when He went back to Heaven.

The Holy Spirit will never direct you to go against God's Word. That would make God's word a lie. The thing to do is wait and pray until your answer is in line with God's Word.

The Holy Spirit is our helper that Jesus sent after he ascended to heaven. Check what you think is against the word of God. You might be misunderstanding the word in a different context. Don't doubt the Holy Spirit. We as humans only know in part. Trust in Jesus and he will direct your ways. He put your inner intuition in you for a reason. Don't ignore it. He is more practical than people think.

The holy ghost would never lead you against the Word.
Did you know the devil can come as an angel of light, if it is going against the Word then it isn't the holy ghost. Pray about it and the you'll know which it is. the holy spirit always guides in the right direction...

The Holy Spirit will never direct you in a different direction than the word does.

When you are able to answer questions that might not have answer in the Bible you are already inspired by the Holy Spirit who would have directed you to do thing beyond (against) the written word.

The answer is an emphatic NO.

The Holy Spirit has never directed me to do something that was contrary to the scriptures.

On the other hand, there have been a few times that i did what I thought was right without the Holy Spirit and it turned out to be to my detriment.

Absolutely not. I would say that any spirit going against the word of God is not the Holy Spirit. He cannot be unfaithful to Himself.

Spiritual discernment is so important, we should always pray for it daily. AND that is why in Acts it tells us to "search the scriptures daily"
Because anyone can fall away from the truth...if they are not continually seeking God. Remember what Jesus said "Apart from Me you can do nothing"
We must remain in HIM! That means to pray and study His word and keep fellowship with other believers. Because it is our weak flesh and sinful nature that can still act out-- but when we are walking in the truth, it cannot get to us- because it is Christ who lives in us! And greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world -1 John 4:4
If I feel like I am going in a direction that is not of God, I usually feel conviction, and that is why I love the Holy Spirit so much, that God has given us His spirit to keep us from straying, and keep us on that narrow path with Him! (Matthew 7:13-14)
Search the scriptures daily! Know what is of God and what is not of God. Pray for spiritual discernment daily!

If a spirit is directing you to go against The Word, that is an evil spirit.
