It means that yesterday you were worried about today, but from yesterdays point of view it was tomorrow, it's just talking about making the most of today, and not worry about tomorrow or the next day or day after that

Imagine that the 15 of May you were worried because you had to hand in a project at school.
So the 15th you were worried about TOMORROW (this means the 16th)
So Today (the 16th) is the day (we named it Tomorrow above) that we worried about yesterday the 15th...
It is just a poetic way to talk about Today...
Good luck!

Today = Wednesday
Yesterday = Tuesday
If we were on Tuesday (which was yesterday) and we worry about tomorrow (that will be Wednesday).
Therefore if today is the tomorrow - meaning we are on Tuesday. And Tuesday is yesterday.

Yesterday we were concerned about what the next day would bring.
Now that day has come.
Whereas yesterday we referred to this day as "tomorrow", today we refer to it as "today".
But in this sentence, perhaps we are not looking literally at days, but at periods in time. In the past we worried about the future. Now that time has come, but to those of us who live in this time it is no longer the future, but the present.

ok.. lets brake this down yesterday (Monday) we worried about tomorrow (Tuesday). Today (Tuesday)is here, today (Tuesday) was what we thought about Yesterday(on Monday). So...today (Tuesday)is the tomorrow (Tuesday) that we worried about yesterday (on Monday).
Thus:
tomorrow and today=Tuesday, because tomorrow has become today.
yesterday=Monday
Get it? It was a riddle!
What the riddle or proverb is trying to say is...don't worry. Because yesterday you worried so,,yet today things are just fine. so smile. Live in the day, enjoy what you have today.

It means yesterday today was tomorrow. It's saying time keeps going on and what we call tomorrow now will be today when it is here.

Worrying about the future soons becomes today and then turns into tomorrow. They all become just another day. What may happen will happen and then pass into tomorrow.
