why dont boys cry in front of girls?

Some guys cry in front of girls but they try not to because our culture has a stigma against men crying. Its always been something that would make them less "manly" plus if their friends found out they would get **** for a while. If you're really close to a guy im sure itll happen eventually. My ex cried in front of me a few times. Watch the notebook.. hah

boys don't cry because growing up they are taught that if you cry you are weak! know boy wants to be called weak, not even if they like other boys. men on the other hand cry in front of women, because they understand that it is not a sign of weakness, but men realize that they are going through lifes trials and tribulations therefore coping with there emotions in a way that is more expressable than holding it in and blowing up at the wrong time. But that is why boys turn into men, but some of us love to stay a kid at heart!

I dont think that boys cry in general very much. So its not that they dont cry in front of girls its more that they dont cry. Boys seem to like to solve problems and when they cant they get mad instead of sad, where as girls get sad. Boys are a different kind of emotional.

This, maybe, is true only in western culture. I've seen middle eastern men cry unabashedly in public. And, of course, we know that they greet not with handshake but by kissing cheeks on both sides. I have cried in public a few times (mostly at funerals) and was never ashamed about it because I don't care. Your question is: boys crying in front of girls. If you mean girl friend, what would have done to him to make him cry in front of you?

I can imagine crying in front of a female friend who I wasn't dating or in a relationship. But a man crying in front of a girlfriend is not a good thing to do. A friend will understand and console you while a girlfriend will look at you weird and get worried that you don't have enough strength. I know it sounds strange but it is so true.

And women want to know why men don't cry? I have learned how not to.

Boys that do that are just that...Boys! Real men, mature men I should say, know how to express their feelings and if they feel like crying they do. Someone that slams their fist when upset obviously has pent up frustrations and doesn't know how to release them. That is a sign of instability and immaturity.

Guys are put into a catagory where they are expected to be tough and masculine all the time. When a guy needs to release emotions then sometimes the only sufficient way is to be destructive. Its kinda an unfair catagory kinda like how most guys expect girls to look like Barbie Dolls.

ha! girl, you should have seen me on Sunday night. i was at this meeting at church...and there's this one girl there who i've become good friends with - strangest thing, i gave her a friendly hug you know...and for a reason i have not yet discovered - i started crying like nobody's business.
