They can fall in love, but the love and commitment you are capable of at 18 are not the same as what you can give at 28. You are still growing up at 18 and even if you fall in love and get married that young, you continue to grow up. That is why so many people who marry so young end up divorced.

you can fall in love at any age i was 13 when i first fell in love I'm 42 now and i can say that i truly was in love but 18 is to young to comment to saying your in love you should give the person some space absence makes the heart grow fonder if you take some time from the person it may show you how they really feel about you for example my son is a marine he has been married for five years he was shipped to japan about 8 month ago and he gave his wife every thing she wanted she wanted a house so he told her to find one and she did he had not ever seen the house he just signed the papers he came home to find that she was not living there any moor but was living with and pregnant by another man so that lets you know she will ether draw near or far just depending on there love for you

I really hate the expression "falling in love", It makes me think that if you fall 'in', you can fall 'out'. I'd like to believe that depending upn the maturity of the people, the length of time you have to get to know someone, the likes and dislikes, the pleasureable moments you share together, etc you will develop a complete fondness and caring for the person whom you are sharing your life. I tend to think that growing in love with someone is a much better phrase. Having said that - I also believe that age is only a number. You can LOVE someone without being 'in' love with them. TO me, the 'in love' stage encompasses a more involved , sometimes sexual relationship which is headed toward marriage and sharing a life together. Perhaps at the age of 18, your friend was wise enough to know that she might not have had enough experiences to know her emotional ground on love and being "in" love. People should take time to get to know each other and grow in their love relationship.

I think that if an 18 yr old is mature enough she can fall in love. But Love is hard to define. Most likely it's just lust in your situation. Love takes years to develop.

18 years old is definitely not too young to fall in love. Love has no age, love has no boundaries. I fell in love when I was 17 and am still madly in love with him. 18 is definitely not too young!!

Their emotional make-up has not kept up with their physical make-up, and they are as yet immature. They can fall in love ( and out) at the drop of a penny! They don't have a clue as to what they want in life, other than something warm in a private place.
Wait until her emotions catch up with her body. About 24-26.

Yes Yes Yes...falling in love is easy but sometimes hard...if you find the right one you will feel your life be more stable/balanced....everyone falls in love no matter how old they are but its not to a point of marriage...so yeah you can fall in love you just have to figure out when it is really really really love..
