Some pilates and ballet exercises can help you with those areas. Lying on your back, you can do leg lifts, which works the abdominal muscles. Just lift your legs from a 0 degree angle with the floor, to a 90 degree angle with the floor. Keep your toes pointed, and knees straight- the slower the better. Lying on your side, you can work your inner and outer thighs by lifting each leg up and down, slowly. It also helps to vary pointing and flexing your feet.
Another one of my favorites is this- start lying on your back, legs up in the air 90 degrees to the floor. Let your legs come out to a V shape, then bend your knees, and bring the back together. Repeat. After doing sets of this exercise, repeat in reverse, starting with your feet and legs up and together, bend your knees, let your legs open to the V shape, straighten your knees, and bring your legs back together.

Pilates style dvds can help, and you could also look for a local pilates or ballet class!
I hope this helps!

running is always a sure fire way to shed some pounds, you also want to do some excercises that focus on those areas for example leg raises where you lie on you back and alternate raising each leg one at a time about 6" off the ground, you can also do this on you side. Various types of crunches would help also, and if you have problems doing these excercises because they are too boring try jumping rope for 5-10 minutes its a hell of a workout.
Good Luck

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
