ratio of carbs - fat - protein in percents.

It is the ratio of macronutrients (carbs, proteins, and fats) in your total daily caloric intake.

If you eat a daily diet of 2,000 calories (which is what is recommended) you would eat:

40% from carbs which is:
800 calories or 200 grams of carbs

30% from protein which is:
600 calories or 150 grams of protein

30% from fats which is:
600 calories or 67 g of fat

If you split that up over 6 small meals per day, which again is what is recommended, you would eat:

133 cals from carbs or 34 g of carbs
100 cals from protein or 25 g of protein
100 cals from fat or 11 g of fat
Total per meal=333
x 6 meals= 1998 calories

It refers to amounts of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. I have not seen it stated this way in the US , though.
