There has been only 2 DSLR's of consequence come out in 2007 so it's basically between:
Canon EOS-1D Mark III for the Pros
and
Nikon D40x for the normal people!

Best entry level nikon D40x
Best Expert Level - Pentax K10D
Best Profesional level - Canon 1d Mk III

Nikon D40X actuallyit all depends on your price range there are some much more better but also much more expensive.
