Meteorologist Dr. Reid Bryson, the founding chairman of the Department of Meteorology at University of Wisconsin (now the Department of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, was pivotal in promoting the coming ice age scare of the 1970’s ( See Time Magazine’s 1974 article “Another Ice Age” citing Bryson: & see Newsweek’s 1975 article “The Cooling World” citing Bryson) has now converted into a leading global warming skeptic. In February 8, 2007 Bryson dismissed what he terms "sky is falling" man-made global warming fears. Bryson, was on the United Nations Global 500 Roll of Honor and was identified by the British Institute of Geographers as the most frequently cited climatologist in the world. “Before there were enough people to make any difference at all, two million years ago, nobody was changing the climate, yet the climate was changing, okay?”

Environmental geochemist Dr. Jan Veizer, professor emeritus of University of Ottawa, converted from believer to skeptic after conducting scientific studies of climate history. “I simply accepted the (global warming) theory as given,” Veizer wrote on April 30, 2007 about predictions that increasing C02 in the atmosphere was leading to a climate catastrophe. “The final conversion came when I realized that the solar/cosmic ray connection gave far more consistent picture with climate, over many time scales, than did the CO2 scenario,” Veizer wrote. “It was the results of my work on past records, on geological time scales, that led me to realize the discrepancies with empirical observations. Trying to understand the background issues of modeling led to realization of the assumptions and uncertainties involved,” Veizer explained. “The past record strongly favors the solar/cosmic alternative as the principal climate driver,”

We are animals. But you're right, some people don't have the mental capacity to worry about global warming. On the other hand, many have the capacity to do nothing BUT worry. And there are those who only have the capacity to argue about global warming's existence. What we need is someone with the mental capacity to DO something about global warming, or more precisely to do something about pollution because global warming trends are eons old. It's documented in polar ice that the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling. But really, better yet, what we need is someone rich and powerful with only the capacity to worry to LISTEN to the ones who have the capacity to do something AND LET 'EM DO IT!

Actually we are animals. Are you asking if ignorance is bliss? I would rather know. As for Human caused global warming. Do some research. Humans are not causing any significant contribution to global temperatures. Try a simple google search and read both sides of the debate. People like Al Gore say there is no debate, and he thinks many will never do a simple search. Al thinks most will jump on his band wagon. Become more then a blissfully ignorant animal and do a lil research.

They might not have the meantal capacity that yo are talking about.

But Global warming effects everyone and everything. Global warming affects their environment as much as ours. With the effects of it they are losing their homes and food and water sources.

So not do think that to be an animal means to not have to worry about it.

Rather than worry about what they can't worry about, think about all of the things they can't enjoy due to their lack of reasoning... dirt bikes, snowmobiles, big trucks, fancy cars, beautiful women, nice homes, hard work for money, and the list could go on. Besides, I don't need to be an animal to not worry about global warming. I refuse to bow down to the pagan god created by environmentalist nut jobs trying to exercise their "power and influence" on society. Global warming is a farce of phenomenal proportions... don't fall for it, you'll be a much happier individual.

That applies to animals in all kinds of ways. They live in the present and don't worry about what happened yesterday or what might happen tomorrow.

If there were more animals and fewer (by about 5 billion) people, we wouldn't have to worry about global warming either.

It is a blessing in disguise to be an animal...Matter of fact they are genuises when it comes to feeling global warming...If we watched them more they have warned us of many natural disaster way ahead of time....They have remarkable sensors that instinctively detect a change on our planet earth.....Believe me I would rather study animals then sit around and wait for the effects of global warming...We need to do something now before it is too late if it is not already....GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!...one step at a time...Make a IMPACT

nothing personal, but would you consider starving to death as the victim of habitat change and increased biological competition from invasive species and diseases caused by climate change a blessing just because you couldn't sit around and worry about it?
