Cadillac is giving some great answers on weight loss issues.

A combination of cutting out junk food, fast food and sugar (and limiting alcohol), 3-4 hours a week of moderate to intense exercise, and drinking lots of water should shift those 10 lbs no problem (but remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you get fitter you will get smaller without losing pounds).

I have had particular success with keeping a water and food diary, to a) make sure I drink at least 80oz of water a day, and b) to keep track of my eating. I find that I'm less likely to eat unhealthy foods if I have to 'confess' my food sin on paper. And when I am really really meticulous about getting my full 80oz of water a day, I lose weight even without doing anything else. Good luck!

There is a lot of great advice being given on this post. I agree having a healthy diet is the best way to loose some extra pounds. Loosing 2 pounds a weeks is considered to be healthy more than 3 is pushing it.

Breakfast- you should be eating a small bowl of cereal with 2% milk or some oatmeal, and fruit, like an apple or banana.Either that or a wheat bagel with some fruit spread (go lightly on the fruit spread). You can also have a glass of orange juice or some other type of juice that you like. Make sure you use juice that is low in sugar & sodium.

Lunch-you can have a nice wrap with low fat chicken and veggies. You can also have a whole grain sandwich and a bowl of lettuce. There is a lot of salads to choose from, tuna, chicken, etc.

Dinner- your choice of meat make sure it's the correct portion size. As far as meat goes your portion should be the size of your fist. Also you can have steamed veggies on the side. If you like Thai food or other kinds of foods there is a lot of low fat recipes out there so your food doesn't have to be bland and boring.

Snacks- you should have 2 small snacks a day. Great snack ideas is yogurt and some fresh fruit or veggies.

Drink plenty of water through out the day. If your going to eat out just be careful with portion side, if your going with friends share a plate or just opt for the appetizer. Also say away from coke or pesi or too much caffeine. Caffeine retains water and salt. If your going to eat fast food the opt for the children's meal that way you cut the fat since fast food is loaded with fat and calories.

Excerise you can walk 30 minutes a day and do some ab crunches. If you have access to a pool swimming is a great overall excerise, it works out your muscles and cardio.

Remember eating healthy doesn't have to be boring. Here's a link that has recipes and work out guides.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

exercise just normal for a girl. do some weighttraining, and about 30 min of cardio every day if possible. Then cut down your carbs in your food, eat more protein and healthy fats (those fats DO NOT make u fat!) like in nuts or peanutbutter.

Cutting down the carbs will get you there, if you need more help, contact me admin@maddinhomepage.com

Well, everyone's body is different and what could work for someone else might now work for you...BUT!...try excercising for 30 minutes a day 4 times a week, and lowering your calorie intake (especially fat calories), that should give you a boost!
