Gas prices are way up and I run errands all day at work for the company. He pays me .40 per mile. I would think that as high as the gas prices are now, it should be more...
Can anyone give me the official website which tells the mileage compensation I should be getting...
Thanks in advance!!

the IRS 2007 mileage reimbursement is $0.48 1/2 per mile. Whatever you are not reimbursed for you can claim on your taxes.

It's set by the IRS (I think), rather than based on the cost of inflation, but I'm not certain. I know my company just paid someone .41 per mile for a trip for a seminar, so your employer is in the ball park.
