I don't really know a lot about babies, but I think if you say that you'll stay by her bed and after she falls asleep go to your bed, it would be ok. Maybe you'd have to repeat it several times.

We went from the bed, to the pack and play in our room, to the crib. And for each started with 1 or 2 min or crying it out, the next couple days 5, the next couple days 10 min, etc. All for the gradual approach.
The back pat thing also works. Instead of picking them up.

1st of all how old is she? 2nd that is not a good habit to be in at all. you need to make the transition asap...she is going to get upset but that's normal. you'll have to let her cry it out, put her in the crib and check on her and soothe her but don't bring her back in the bed. it will take a few days to get her into the routine but it will be worth it for all of you.

well if she is old enough "2 yrs"... i would suggest buying a toddler bed... maybe she likes dora?.. they have them out now... and you could buy her the dora blankets and pillows...and tell her its a big girls bed...
if she is still baby then.... id say just let her cry occasionally in her crib... and make her take her naps and anytime she falls asleep just continuously put her in the crib!!!..
good luck

trust me as heart wrenching as it is (speaking from experience) you just need to let her cry. it will be painful (more for you) but each night will be less and less. DO NOT sleep in bed with her, it doesn't get better (again speaking from experience). some times a little tough love is all they need. Good Luck.

I agree with Diana It took a while but it did work. I also used it when she transfered to a reg bed. I would sit at the side till she fell asleep.

you have to wean her into her bed. it can be hard on us mothers but it is better for her. my youngest i had to do that. each night i had to let her cry longer and longer but it didnt last but maybe at most 15 min. just have to be consistent with it. make sure she has what she needs(diaper change, fav.toy etc.) my youngest is three almost four and she still ends up in our bed. but she is better than she used to be. when she gets up you just have to keep putting her in her own bed
