Most of them are decent individuals. However, they, like Christians, are not allowed to think or to question. The notion of prayer 5 times a day is to ensure that they have no free time to themselves, and the extreme strictness of their religion means that they are not allowed to be free to think for themselves or to make decisions. They, like Christians, are told to follow orders or suffer the consequences. It is too bad, in my opinion.
