I guess if DNA sitting in a tomb for 2000 years could be cloned, then it must be from Jesus, in which case the Bible is right and it probably wouldnt be advisable to continue with the cloning.

Well, from what I've heard of the crucifixion, he was being spat on alot, so we'd probably end up cloneing a pissed off Roman soldier or someone else. Would be cool to see that too though. (sci-fi nut)

How would you know it was Jesus' tomb, and how would you know it was Jesus' DNA? Where's your reference point? If Jesus was taken to Heaven physically, then there shouldn't be any DNA left, should there?

Certainly, but it would be pointless. Much of a person's identity arises from the environment, which is different now from what it was 2000 years ago.

Jesus rose from the dead, so what good would finding his tomb do? It's not like he's still there.

We'll never find it. All that was left was a shroud and even it has confounded expert scientists. God didn't want his son found like that and exploited. As a parent, I wouldn't either. I would protect my dead child with my life for their life, deeds and honor.

sure that would be ok. you could clone hitler and micheal jackson too if you want.
but untill you can clone the spirit and somehow force it into the body you cloned, you will not get your desired result
