This reeks of Pascal's Wager (see link and paragraph in Source)

As an atheist, it makes no difference to me. If I claim that I am a Christian, not really believing it whole heartedly, just saying that so I can get into heaven, that doesn't make sense does it? That I can just play along and fool God into giving me passage into heaven when I'm not a true devout Christian? That's where Pascal's Wager fails.

Marketing-wise, which is a better strategy Christianity or Atheism: Marketing would favor atheism. It supports the idea of doing what ever when ever.

Are Christians wasting their life: No, because if you're a true christian, you believe that your life actually belongs to GOD to you can't waste what isn't yours in the first place.

Are Atheists gambling with their life: No, because if you really don't believe that your life is judged by GOD or a god then there's nothing to lose.

***On a personal note, I've always wondered why atheists are so vocal and angry and which GOD, God, or god they deny. I can understand if they want to deny the christian form of GOD because often the christians doing the repesenting of GOD have little understanding of this GOD. And I can understand if they are denying non-christian forms of GOD because the information of this view point is scarce and /or guarded. So in essence aren't they just denying because of their ignorance. And in that case I can only hope for the best in their situation and that they stay far away from me. Not that they are bad people, I just don't want to take the chance of being caught up in their unguided lives.

Who would honestly make important decisions about their beliefs based on marketing strategies? Seek the truth until you are convinced. I know some Christians who have experienced a real spiritual relationship with a higher power. It gives their life meaning, purpose and even happiness. Instead of asking "What's a better marketing strategy?", ask, "What's the truth?"

If atheists are right, it simply doesn't matter. You won't be able to regret your decision one way or another. Your life will have had absolutely no meaning or purpose whatsoever.

If Christians are right, then they live forever in a place where there is no sadness, no evil, and in a state of perpetual joy and love. Atheists can neither comprehend, nor even want that.

Wasting their life on what? I read the bible, I enjoy the stories, I am kind too people and when I die I am going to heaven, If there is no heaven, I will never know the difference...

Now gambling with your life, You don't believe, Your kind and generous, You do good for others, but if there is a heaven, you won't go, no matter how kind you were...

seems too me that Christianity is a better deal...

Christianity is hugely better marketed: their data is simple enough for morons to understand, and they're not constrained by any need for accuracy or reality.

Scientific atheism has a monstrous uphill battle by comparison, because all the REAL answers are fairly bleak - mainly because humans aren't special in any way, have no special abilities, no supernatural friends and no blissful afterlife to aim for.

And we're kinda honour-bound to tell it like it is, rather than spout whatever people want to hear.

'Still true, though.

From a purely marketing perspective one would have to compare Americas 90% religious to 2% atheist and that's a no contest, but all it proves is better marketing.

1. Alot of Christian religions use the whole "fear" thing, which is an excellent marketing tool -- perhaps the best.
2. Perhaps both?

Both do not use their lives to their full capabalities, on ANY given day. One does not have to answer to God about why, because they have an alien righteousness.(which has nothing to do with the X-Files, btw!) And the other will be judged according to their deeds.

I am not an accident. I know that God uniquely created me. What areas of your personality, background, and physical appearance are you struggling to accept? I observed that the basic motive for success is the driving force of envy and jealousy.
