if you consider Jerry Falwell an "evil spirit" than you don't have much to worry about, because there are far worse things in this world that we really need to worry about. and believe me that these other evil spirits have nothing but the utmost hatred towards humans and want us all dead. Jerry Falwell is by no means any such "spirit"

Give it a rest, will you? The man is dead, and if nothing else, you could at least respect his family, friends, and loved ones by not asking garbage like this.
The only proof you need of "evil spirits" is a mirror.

There were some pretty evil spirits out there before he got there. Hitler, Stalin, Che Guevara, Papa Smurf, Howdy Doody.

Yes. 1/3 of the hosts of heaven followed Lucifer after the counsel and war in heaven before the world was created. We are all part of God's eternal plan. Christ agreed to carry out God's plan and Lucifer offered an alternative that would eliminate our agency and guarantee our return to heaven without any growth or development on our part. This was rejected and Lucifer rebelled. 1/3 of God's children followed Lucifer, now known as Satan, and were cast down to earth without bodies, never to have bodies of their own. They provide the opposition in life that we have to fight against. They will possess our bodies if we let them by opening ourselves up to them through our disobedience of God's commands. Only through repentance can we then cleanse ourselves from their influence. God promised that they could have power to injure us but we could have power to overcome them through our righteousness.
Evil influences are all around us. We must never let down our guard against them.
