Depending on the state and the age of consent- nothing might have happened. Plus there is the statute of limitations. She might be able to be prosecuted now, but she might not. It just depends on the laws where it happened.

it depends on the local laws regarding the age of consensual sex - if the boy was below that age, then your friend could be prosecuted and sent to prison as a paedophile if it is taken to the police.

For example, if the event had taken place in the UK, nothing would happen at all as the age of consent is fixed at 16.

In North Carolina the age of consent is 16 and the statute of limitations is 7 years, so if it happened in this state it would not have been illegal and if it was illegal she would have 5 more years that he could go back and prosecute her, but each states laws are different. If you will do a google search for "Age of consent for (whatever state you are in), you will have your answer. Do the same for the Statute of Limitations.

Nothing, 17 is not a legal adult, but it is of a consenting age. She has nothing to worry about. in some states people much older marry teenagers that are under the age of 18. i know, becasue my father did after my mother and him got divorced.

Its technicaly statutory rape since he was under 18 and she was over 18 so it could end in both of them not saying anything or he could go to the police and she could go to jail for max 10 years and have to be registered as a Sex Offender where she lives.

Probably nothing will happen. No one believes that a 17 year old kid could be taken advantage of. Like they would turn down sex from any one.

if the cops happened to find out she would be arrested for statutory rape cus u cannot consent to sex if u r
under the age of 18 and the other person is 18 or older
or
under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Nothing will happen because most people don't realize that the leagal age of consent is not 18 in most states. usually its lower. Not to mention the statute of limitions has run out.

She could be charged for rape even if it wasn't, he is still under 18. But if nobody finds out/reports it she's ok
