All life and all things were created by God. Man, however, though created by God is not always of God. Meaning, since God gave us the gift of free will, some of us choose to walk our own path. To live in the world.
Christians have to live in the world also but choose to be not of the world. Those that do not accept Jesus the Christ as their Savior are not of God because they choose to live carnal and God is not carnal.
So we are all God's creation but we are all not of God.

if you're talking about the New Age belief that God is in everything, it means that since God created everything, everything has a little spark of the Divine in it, not just ppl. Not of God is referring to the actions ppl take, esp. evil things. We humans have a spark of the Divine in us, but not everything we do, i.e. lying, stealing, murder, child molestation, spousal abuse, etc, is something God would condone. that's y it's also called Free Will.

For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible,... everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him. Unless you assume a God, the question of life's purpose is meaningless. It's not about you.

Not sure what religion teaches "All is God", but it is not the Christian faith. (Believe that would be "pantheism"). The Christian faith teaches that God is outside of the universe and not limited by its laws, time or space. Rather he is the creator of all.
