Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
TODAY IS A GIFT
(That's why we call it the present)
The world isn't cruel. The world isn't particularly anything. Cute herbivores are hunted down and eaten by nasty slavering carnivores all the time. It just happens.
People can be cruel. People will tease you about your spelling and make belittling references to your intellect or make fun of some physical abnormality, etc. Some people are bullies. We don't like it and try to discourage it in society, but it happens everywhere (even here on Yahoo! Answers) so you are going to have to find some way to deal with it.
The best way of dealing with it is to have some sort of self esteem - some sense of how you are a good person, within yourself. If you are very happy about this in yourself, then it is easier to deal with other people.
The easiest way to have good self esteem is to have a nurturing and supportive family and group of friends. This isn't so easy to come by, but if you DO have it you should appreciate it - not everyone gets this. Some people have to do a lot of work to achieve this sort of thing.
Another thing you can do is to take stock of what you have got going on and start working on yourself - self development. Be aware that if you are one of these people who do not like bullies you should endeavour to develop and grow and NOT become a bully yourself.
You may find yourself in a nasty situation and hence be thinking the world is cruel. I'm sorry if that's the case. It's never nice to have this sort of thing happen. However, the thing you must ask yourself now is: What are you going to do about it?
You can wallow and do nothing.
You can be pro-active and take steps to change things.
If you choose not to decide ... this is much the same as wallowing. BTW, if you abstain from a choice this is a choice as well.
Your move. What would you like? What are you going to do with this "present" that you have?

When you ask God not to come He is polite enough to respect your rights to do it yourself. Think about it?
