Have you experienced any (or all) of these instances:
01- you hold the door open for someone whose talking on their cell phone and they go right through without thanking you still jabbering on
02- as a cashier (or standing behind), a customer is on his or her cell phone and talking the whole time as their transaction is being done
03- driving behind somebody who is on the phone and going 2mph (or vice versa, speeding while on their cell phone and being an accident risk)

How about the cashier who has to wait patiently for the customer at the front of the line to finish a conversation in order to take care of a transaction...meanwhile the line is just getting longer by the minute. And this one, people who ignore the library's posted rules to turn off cell phones when entering the library. Yes, people in general need to be more polite concerning the use of cell phones.

It drives me insane. I've had dinner with a friend at a restaraunt and she was on the phone the ENTIRE meal. I am quite interested in how someone can smoke, drive AND talk on the phone at the same time. I have seen it done so often and it is awful to watch. I really think cell phones should be banned in stores and while driving and such unless its an emergency.

Yes, cell phones are distracting...and annoying...I can't stand bluetooths...situation 1 is annoying because not thanking someone when they do something kind is rude. number 2 doesn't really bug me...but I guess its similar to number 1. And as for number three...if you can't drive responsibly while on the phone, don't do it. and if you can't tell that you are driving like a moron while on your phone, you shouldn't have a phone...

Yes I have experienced all the above. I am ok with discreet phone use. But when people are so detailed with their conversations and its like everyone is listening, ugh its so annoying..
And I think people look so freakin retarded with those dumb ear things, those ya know popular yuppie hands free devices!! Hahehehe...

Yes to all three.
I am going to add:
04- On the street walking behind someone who is talking on a cell phone and trying to get past them but find it difficult because they are walking from side to side.

Yes, indeed; you're preaching to the converted.
It is not the use of cellphones that causes offence. It is the use of cellphones to say:
"S'up"
"nuffin'."
"bored."
"nah, man."
"yup."
"yup."
"yup."
"whatever."
"see ya."
...When I am sitting right next to them, trying to drink coffee in peace. Inane chatter, entirely for its own sake is one thing, but half a conversation is even more annoying; especially in libraries, bars, train carriages; otherwise dull public spaces.
Sadly the cellphone represents the increasing social compartmentalisation of society. We only talk to people we know, instead of striking up conversation with a stranger. It also represents the falling value of communication.
Like E-mail, the "cellie" (puke!) encourages us to instantly enforce our will on other people, to bother them with the minutiae of our lives, and distract them at work.
Worst of all, it encourages rational people to break a perfectly good conversation, leaving you impotent, while they chatter to another imbecile whose brain has been addled by microwaves.
Write someone a carefully considered letter and they will treasure it. Call them on their cell? They'll screen you.

yea those are just rude. Ive done all but 3, but for 1 and 2 ill stop to say thanks, or when i get to the end of the transaction. what annoys me more are the idiots that walk around with the little electric cockroach hanging out of their ear (bluetooth), regardless if they are using it or not. if they use it it looks like their talking to themselves until they turn around and you can see it and if they arent its just tacky.

Number 3 is very irritating.
05 - Driving next to someone while they're on the phone and they swerve into your lane.
