The dream is in color. I am with a group of young brothers from the 1930's, I can tell by their clothing. One of them has accidentally killed one brother with an axe. They are all crying. The killer then chops off one of his hands and intends to bleed to death. He hasn't said this, but I feel his intention. I also feel fear. I went on to dream other things and then this dream was repeated!
Any ideas?

You have recurring dream because something is not resolved.

1930s = conservative thinking
Accidentally killed one brother = morally incorrect

You have some fear in your daily life and subconsciously you projected this once again because this fear stored in your subconscious mind and not resolved. This is due to your guilt conscience about some morality. Perhaps in reality, there is something you have seen or done or experienced that caused you think you should not have done it. Dreaming killing scene often shows guilt conscience. Especially when you dream of 1930s, this indicates something has to do with your moral value.

You may have conflicts on things you know you should not have done.

I think it is a moral question kind of dream. an eye fior an eye sort of thing. I think the cutting off of the hand is indictive of getting rid of the part that did the wrong. Are you a religious person and may have done something you know to be morally incorrect. Well then this dream could represent your own guilt. If this is the case you need to make ammends and confess and repent your sin and I think this dream will not come back.

It means absolutely nothing except that you have a highly active imagination. Are you a writer, or do you want to be? You may have the desire and talent for it.

When I was young, I had a recurring nightmare of being chased through a large, old, dilapidated house by a snake-like or dragon-like monster. I could never get out of the house. This went on for years and years. One night I DID escape from the house, and I never had that dream, again.

If you ever have this dream again and it goes beyond the point where it now stops, and there is a resolution to your dream, my guess is you will never have the dream again.

The dream is set in the past as it relates to the past, not necessarily the 1930's. Is it possible that there was something in your past that happened, and you or someone close to you feels bad about.

Maybe you or they feels responsible for some incident in the past that they have never quite let go of, and it disturbs them to this day. "The brother cuts his hand of and intends to bleed to death". Back then the person placed full blame on themselves for what ever happened and they continue to take on the feelings of guilt "bleed" over what happened. And they feel committed to themselves to do so until the day they die.

It could be a little thing or a major thing its eva something you are carrying and need to forget and let go of. or someone close to you that you feel never has quite let go of something in the past and you feel sadden by this.

If it is you it might not even be obvious to you that this is affecting you. But it’s imprinted in your subconscious and is playing out in your emotions at times. Somthing that you need to let go of or resolve. Or maybe the dream is telling you to assist a close one who is going through this. who has never quite rid themselfs or resolved this something from in the past.
