Question

Can anyone tell me of a "safe site" to write a memorial to my recent loss of a dear pet? I am torn with grief right now, and I think if I can do this for "Peanut", it might help me deal with my loss.
I hope someone is able to help me find a good site with a possible "chat room" to talk to someone else who has recently lost a pet.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel as I lost my dog of 12 years last February. Check out www.aplb.org. It's for pet loss and features a chat room where you can talk to counselors. Also try www.pet-loss.net and click the memorials link. They have links to some sites where you can write tributes. Finally, consider joining a pet loss yahoo group. I am a member of the rainbowbridge group and they have been very helpful and supportive. Hope this helps some and remember to try and think of the good times you had with Peanut. Take care.

I am so very sorry to hear about your pet.

I dont know of any place to to talk to someone, or write about it. Maybe a blog would be helpful. Friends are better then the internet for the simple fact they are their they can hug you and tell you it's gonna get better. Thought thats not how it seems now.

Try www.dogster.com its an awsome site for dog owners and you can have a momerial page for your dog. I love that site also you can connect with other dog owners that have loss there pets too. its like a myspace and friendster for dog owners!!!
