You are talking about nihilists? They believe that all life is pointless (i.e that there is no ultimate goal), and that none of it will matter after we are dead. I've only met one or two actual nihilists in my life. I found them very interesting to talk to.
A common, but misleading, description of nihilism is the 'belief in nothing'. Instead, a far more useful one would substitute 'faith' for 'belief' where faith is defined as the "firm belief in something for which there is no proof." A universal definition of nihilism could then well be the rejection of that which requires faith for salvation or actualization and would span to include anything from theology to secular ideology.

Hi, I don't believe in any religion and I really think death is the end.
To say "I believe in nothing" implies that I'm either religious about "nothingness" (which makes no sense), or that I'm entirely without purpose (which sounds really sad). I think it's mainly some religious people who say this about Atheists since they assume that because they believe in God, other people believe in something else.
Therefore, I say "I don't believe", which to me means that religion (or belief) is a game that I do not play.

No one means they believe in NOTHING. They just mean that they don't believe in deities.
As for what's AFTER this life...can you remember what it was like before you were born? What did YOU, personally see and experience? That's what we believe it is like after we die. There's nothing. It's a void. You're not even aware that there's nothing, any more than you were aware of nothing before you were born. It's not like you're in the grave saying, "Gee, I'm dead..and there's NOTHING here!"

I've never heard anyone say that they believe in nothing.
It looks to me as though you think that being an atheist implies 'believing in nothing". That is, of course, false.
As an atheist, I believe in everything. I just don't also believe in various things that do not exist (gods, and also fairies, psychic powers, etc.).

If someone believes in "Nothing" they are a nihilist. If someone knows that there is no supernatural force, they are called an atheist. Why are you so afraid that there truly is nothing after you die. It probably feels like before you were born, its not dark, its not scary, it just didn't exist

Every one belives in something. Every one when helpless call the one true God. When death comes every soul fully understands there is an eternal life before them. It is a fact even if you belive or don't belive. A child in the womb of mother would deny if he were told about his future world-the Earth. Didn't God create you from a single sperm cell. We are informed everything through Prophets and Messengers. Why shoul the denial.

Nothing is the absence of something, everything, and anything.
I believe that after this life, there is only rotting. No more life. Sorry to disappoint.

Good question, and you are right, it is impossible to believe in nothing. If in nothing else that "someone" at least believes in Chance. Personally I'm not religious enough to believe in chance, so I have to believe in an intelligent Creator.
