I don't think anything one way or the other. I live in a suburban area where blacks, whites, latinos, asian, all different cultures live and work together. If I walk into a convenience store at 2 a.m. and there's a black guy standing there with a hip hop style, I'll say hi just the same as I would if it was a middle aged white mom with her kids or a white guy in rocker clothing. I was raised that you never judge someone based on their appearance.

Personally I'd rather be around a black guy with hiphop clothing then a white guy in rock clothing. I'd be watching how they are acting anyway. That's the main thing.

It is very sad that we still maintain these sterotypes of each other. One of the reasons why we have difficulty getting along is because we have failed to have logical and rational dialogue with it other. We are all Americans and we are really not that different from each other when it comes down to it. Level of education and understanding of concepts also play a role in why there is a difficulty in getting along. Socio economic standing also plays a role in why we have difficulty getting along. But this is nothing new. We have got to start judging people by the content of their character and their conscious deeds and actions and not by the color of their skin or the trash that the media is feed us all.

I'm a black male and when i go to the store white people always stare at me. I dress preppy (polo shirts, pants on my hips, and my cloths fit me but not to tight) and they always look at me as if they have a problem. That's how i was raised to dress and act. But white people will be white people. Thinking everyone is below them no matter how much money you or your parents have.

The only time I think anything about a guy in any type of clothes is when they're wearing pants halfway down their butts. I don't understand the point of wearing clothes so big that they walk funny to prevent their pants falling down. Other than that, I just see that person and think it's a person in the particular type of clothes they're wearing. I don't automatically assume anything.

I honestly wouldn't be scared to be all a lone with a black guy because they don't scare me... Plus most of my friends are gangsters or thugs and their not really that bad.. And sometimes the people that look nice are the most dangerous because you don't know escally what their thinking...
I'm more than used to being around black and white people... but they don't scare me unless their like a ******* murder or rapist other than nah...

White people with rock clothing i actually think are bigger ***** than black ppl in hip hop clothing. But i digress, i dont put too much emphasis on race. besides, i live in a black neighborhood, so i'm used to the clothing style.

It's really stupid, but a lot of people think this way. I think it has to do with entertainment- the stuff we see on tv, plus the way we're brought up, makes us associate somethings with other things.
You see a guy dressed in bright colors who speaks with a lisp, you assume hes gay. But how do you know hes gay? A lisp is often a naturally occuring thing, and bright colors don't mean anything by themselves.
It sucks, but thats the way it happens. I'm guilty of it myself and I try not to be :/

it depends on what the other person is doing. i don't care about color. it is more common do be scared of a black guy than it is a white guy. but white guys can be just as dangerous if not more dangerous.
